Day 84 : Who would distribute our product?

Introduction

This post represents me and Priscilla's thoughts regarding what company we plan to distribute our magazine to, but also elements of pricing and justifications for various decisions we have made which which link back to our target audience of those aged 15+. We are an independent company called Young Ambition, which is why we aim to strengthen our foundation by using a British company who is based in 16 different countries which includes Germany and the USA.

Conclusion

Me and Priscilla agreed that using Empire as our magazine would enable us to tackle the expected roles of women in society which are reflected in the Horror genre. As Empire has a predominantly male demographic we though it would be perfect to make a statement, as we could make male viewers more aware of the limited roles women often have when they realise how different our film is from others in the industry.

In terms of using Bauer Media Group as our distributor, this would enable us to gain a deeper understanding of our target audience as teenagers often use Web 2.0 which means we would be able to promote our trailer to our target audience (through Mobile phones, i-Pad and YouTube) globally to those 15 and above in a larger proportion which means more people are likely to want to watch our Horror film.
